The world of virtual reality will expand on February 22 thanks to the launch of PSVR2 Headphones for PS5. This next-gen headset builds on the foundation of the original PSVR headset and offers a bunch of impressive features (like eye-tracking, headset haptics, and a 4K resolution), but also comes at a whopping $550 price point.
Thankfully, Sony seems to be paying a lot of attention to PSVR 2, as a mountain of games have already been announced for the platform. This includes a good mix of remasters, new releases and sequels to established titles. All told, around 50 games have been revealed for PSVR 2, and we’re sure to hear more throughout 2023.
Of course, the PSVR 2 game library is just as important as its technical prowess, and right now it doesn’t look like it will disappoint. From tactical shooters like Crossfire: Sierra Squad to relaxing titles like Mysterious places, Sony’s headset seems to cover all major genres. One of the most anticipated titles for PSVR 2 is horizon: call of the mountain, which takes place in the same world as Forbidden West and aims to help demonstrate the power of the $550 gadget.
